Our People

The CUNA Mutual Fiduciary Consultants Investment Committee oversees the investments in the Institutional Program for 401(k) and pension plans for CUNA Mutual Retirement Solutions. It selects and monitors a menu of prudent investments with the most reasonable fees available in their category.

Scott D. Knapp, CFA®**

Director of Investment Strategy

Scott Knapp is Managing Principal for CUNA Mutual Fiduciary Consultants. In this role, he is responsible for developing the group’s overall investment strategy and implementing programs that help institutional investors meet their objectives. Knapp is the chairman of the Investment Committee that establishes investment policy, oversees strategy, and performs ongoing due diligence on investments offered in its programs. He also designs and delivers state-of-the-art portfolio strategies that provide solutions to large or complex investment challenges.

Knapp earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and a Master of Banking & Finance from Boston University. He is a CFA® charterholder and also holds the Chartered Financial Consultant professional designation.

Shannon L. Eidson, CFA®, FSA, EA**

Investment Strategist

shannon eidsonShannon Eidson is the Investment Strategist for CUNA Mutual Fiduciary Consultants. He is responsible for consulting directly with key clients to develop customized investment strategies. Eidson is also a primary architect of sophisticated multi-asset class portfolios designed to help institutional investors implement total return and liability-driven programs. He serves as a member of the Investment Committee that performs research and due diligence on the potential investments offered.

Eidson earned a Bachelor of Mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master of Actuarial Science from Ball State University. He is a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary, and a CFA® charterholder.

Thomas M. Preusker**

Investment Analyst

Thomas M. PreuskerThomas Preusker is the Investment Analyst for CUNA Mutual Fiduciary Consultants. He is responsible for development and execution of the group’s investment manager research, selection, monitoring, and due diligence practices used in programs that help institutional investors meet their objectives. Preusker is a member of the Investment Committee and is responsible for bringing observations, insights, and recommendations to that body.

Preusker earned a Bachelor of Arts in media from Denison University and a Master of Business Administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management.
