At CUNA Mutual Group, including all, embracing differences and promoting equity is a fundamental value. We know we’re stronger when we leverage the diverse backgrounds, skills, knowledge and perspectives of our customers, partners and employees. We also know that we do not live in a homogenous world, so our company needs to reflect all the people we serve.

Creating an Inclusive Culture

When it comes down to it, it doesn’t matter what we say; it matters what we do and how we do it. That’s why we take steps every year to make sure our organization is even more inclusive. We run a supplier diversity program to provide opportunities for businesses owned by diverse groups, partner with historically Black colleges and universities to increase awareness of CUNA Mutual Group as a potential employer of choice, and offer a robust diversity and inclusion learning series for all employees as well as flexible schedules whenever roles allow.

From adding additional benefits for new parents and transgender employees, to ensuring we select candidates from a diverse pipeline, we are committed to embracing and developing a deeper understanding of attributes that make each of us stand out.

Engagement Resource Groups

We provide a wide variety of events and resources to inform, educate and engage our employees in issues related to diversity and inclusion. Through our Engagement Resource Groups (ERGs), we provide employees with similar backgrounds, lifestyles and passions to connect. These staff-led groups promote the personal and professional development of a diverse and inclusive mindset. ERGs support our business goals and help drive the company forward.
