Benefits to policyholders:
In 2008, CUNA Mutual Group paid out $1.6 billion in benefits to policyholders, including claims paid for credit insurance, life insurance, the Credit Union Bond, and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), The total also includes Liberty Mutual auto and homeowners payments, credit union reimbursements, league reimbursements, and credit union movement-related donations and support. Besides financial contributions, our employees directly participate, as volunteers and board members, in these credit union organizations and reinforce their commitment to the credit union movement by graduating from such classes as the Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) volunteer program.
