CUNA Brokerage Services Hosts National Sales Conference
FOCUS 2008 To Provide Training, Workshops, Networking For Financial Advisors
 
MADISON, Wis. – The premier national sales conference exclusively for credit union financial advisors, FOCUS 2008, is right around the corner. Sponsored by CUNA Brokerage Services, Inc., the week-long conference is focused on providing financial advisors education, development and the motivation to take their business to the next level.
 
The conference, being held Feb. 13-17 at the Sheraton Atlanta, features more than 30 individual workshops designed to deliver knowledge, insight and new best practices to attendees. The various curriculum tracks also allow attendees to make selections based on their individual and business needs. Among the topics being offered:

• Retirement income planning
• Structuring annuity contracts
• Gifting strategies
• Six Sigma investing
• Unified managed accounts
• The American dream: investing in real estate

Many of the workshops being offered are structured to meet continuing education credit requirements. Additionally, annual compliance training will also be offered.

In addition to workshop presenters, the conference will feature nationally known guest speakers Pat Croce and Jerry Linenger.
 
Croce, who went from the training room to the board room of NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers, will bring his business savvy and dynamic personality to the conference main stage. During his five-year tenure as team president, the 76ers went from last place to first place in the NBA standings, breaking numerous franchise records along the way. A published author, Croce will share his motivational insights with conference goers.
 
Linenger’s story of focus and survival are truly out of this world. The former NASA astronaut survived a series of life-threatening events while living aboard the Russian Space Station Mir during his five-month mission in outer space. The challenges, and his ability to overcome them, helped focus his priorities in ways that are adaptable to personal and business success and inspirational to diverse audiences.
